CITIZEN — TOP 10 JOBS EMPLOYERS ARE HAVING TROUBLE FILLING IN CANADA:
- Technicians
- Sales representatives
- Skilled trades workers
- Engineers
- Secretaries, PAs, administrative assistants and office support staff
- Drivers
- Production operators
- Labourers
- Accounting and finance staff
- Managers/executives
The busiest time of the year for hiring is September to November. Hiring managers "probably won't have time to search through old applications, so make sure they know you are looking right now," says Denise Richards, a principal with Meritas Recruiting Inc.
Blog: It's been my experience that online job applications are overly busy in asking questions and have no common or uniform method to website navigation. I would vote for the short form on the initial application and would provide additional information when selected for an interview. Seriously, an application that requires 30 minutes or more to complete isn't showing much consideration for the unemployed.
