The angels were puzzled
Surely the angels were puzzled by this wonderment as they witnessed the creation of the universe. Jehovah-Elohim (the Lord IS God) of the cosmos took interest in a tiny planet and "... measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance" (Isaiah 40:12 ESV). So it was by sovereign design in the space of time: a garden of magnificent splendor surrounded this new person of Adam/Eve on a planet known today as earth.
And yet today, we look around and wonder why the God of creation has reserved Himself to an exclusive existence in heaven. Surely Jehovah-Elohim of the universe wouldn't let a small infraction of sin upset the original design and would be seen riding a Harley Davidson with us. And yet, the only human existence of God in our world is when the Son came and showed us the way of salvation. So let's use caution and watch against people who'd tell us about some God/messiah among us. There is a false spirit guide about who'd portray Jesus enjoying our culture events and dressed in traditional costume or raps with the best of us. The realization that God's Holiness cannot intermix with fallen humanity or be tainted by sin without destroying the purity of existence is viewed as a foreign ideology. These people unwittingly evoke demons with their native traditions and yoga chants/mantras to name a few examples of deception in society. And then they wonder why family suffers with headaches, delusions, addictions and unruly children.
As for God's purpose and grace today (since the day of atonement when Jesus led the way). Let's examine modern society which offers so many alternatives and uses technology to keep people too busy and one-step away from considering salvation. The latest forms of entertainment and social lifestyle has regressed our morality that violence, greed and the need for speed is quickly becoming the norm. Everything goes and yet the joke is to ridiclule the born-again experience without knowing the rewarding experience. Surely this rampant lifestyle is testing the patience of God as it once did in the days of Noah.
Besides, Jehovah-Elohim is looking for a people who would enjoy eternity and honestly choose the way of Jesus. A word of encouragement is that we'd look upward, believe and receive His grace which helps us through past memories and into a joyous Christian experience. The day of salvation is near according to recent news headlines and Bible prophecy. Yet, the news media rarely reports about miracles of faith with the exception of Elvis; the pastor that rocks. Surely the angels marvelled in the beginning and also today by the lack of decisions for Jesus. Therefore, do you know the Holy Spirit active in your life or still bound by an easy-going philosophy that mostly entertains your friendship. There is a new teaching today "once saved always saved." Let's say that the final selection is according to God's sovereign grace and not by our definition of salvation. It is my thought that people with an active heavenly communication will be known by the angels and therefore lifted into heaven at the time of the rapture. Those who remain and keep the testimony through the tribulation may be saved as servants.
