Musings of the prophetic
"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes" (Malachi 4:5 ESV).
The question today: has journalism become so overwhelming that people are in information overload and swayed to public opinion; as provided by the entertainment and news media. Could it be that society has been hypnotized to disregard and dismiss the saying of a true prophet.
The way of journalism is to support good literary style and present the facts openly and without speculation. This process would ridicule unfounded musings and show the disunity of the true and false prophet as nonsense compared to actual news. Therefore every negative, pathetic or scandalous story that brings scepticism on God's messenger is readily published; as a smear on the whole profession. I shouldn't wonder why people are tuning out and using selective listening which suits their opinion or agenda.
In this day-and-age of modern journalism and soothsayers: shall we be given the honest-to-goodness and unedited Word of prophesy. A prophet or prophetess is a spokesperson for God; one who hears the voice of the Holy Spirit and speaks or pens God's mind or counsel through a divinely anointed manner.
- To edify = to build up, strengthen, to make effective.
- To exhort = to stimulate, to encourage, to admonish.
- To comfort = to cheer up.
The goal of this blog is to share insights which bring good counsel for each person, family unity and well-being into our community. It's time to say to God: we're listening to your prophet.
